Martin Takes Confidence Into 2008 to Gain Competitive Edge |
CAMARGO, IL (3-11-08) by Robert Cortum - O'Reilly All Star Public Relations
Confidence is the name of the game for Attica, Ohio’s Brandon Martin - driver of the BMI Racing #11m. Martin, who is running for top honors with the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions in 2008, has been putting together the pieces of his team, not just with tools and hardware, but with the knowledge he has gained from 7 previous years of racing. Brandon will be pushing the limits in his Level Performance Engines powered Maxim while juggling his day job in the other family business, Excavating. The family’s business helped build and once owned Attica Raceway Park, home of several ASCoC events in 2008 and a hotbed of many local Ohio drivers. |

Brandon Looks Ahead to 2008 Season |
|
(3-4-08) Looking back on the 2007 racing season with content, BMI Racing is taking the 4th place points finish with the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions , and using it as a learning tool for 2008. The season was packed with hard knock lessons and top five celebrations, and the travels throughout the country fueled the team with more experience for 2008. BMI recently returned home after the “All Star Ice Breaker” in Florida kicked off this year’s agenda. With a two-month break before the full schedule begins, plans and preparations wrap up to ready the team for the full 08 All Star Sprints racing schedule. While the anticipation is greater then ever, an unpredictable economy and rising diesel fuel prices inevitably make racing more difficult. But BMI is very grateful to have all of the help and support from the so many sponsors that keep them going: Seaside Utilities in South Carolina, Level Performance, Martin Excavating and Trucking, Bores Manufacturing, Burns Electric, Sacksteader and Worland Insurance, Attica Raceway Park, 426-NAPA, Making Waves, Custom Chrome Plating, Gildenmeister Dodge, Fisher Performance, Bell Racing, Maxim Chasis, American Race Tire, Ohio Earth Tools and family and friends. BMI Racing is continuously seeking primary marketing assistance to develop the strength needed to propel the team financially into the future. |

by BMI Team PR Even though it's only May, the season has had its ups and downs and it's no secret that dedicated racers are on the track only to race hard and go for that win! In the end, even if there isn't a win, points are what matters because all you racers out there know that the more points you get (win or no win) there is a season championship at stake! Thank goodness Friday, May 18th was one of those nights that we didn't have to worry about points for the All-Stars. One of Brandon's favorite tracks is Attica Raceway Park because it's where his career started and it has so much history for the Martin family.....however, Brandon's 6th row Feature start ended after the 2nd lap. Brandon's #11m 410 sprint car was involved in a 3 car crash, rolling and ending on its top. He walked away from the wreck and loaded the car to take it back to the race shop with a full night of repair ahead of him and the BMI Crew....a tough break for the entire team. |

It’s hard to believe that we are already making preparations and have begun racing in the 2007 season. With a sixth place points finish in the 2006 season and a second place finish for the Rookie of the Year Title, we are once again competing with the All Star Circuit of Champions and also the World of Outlaws in 2007. As many of you may know, BMI Racing has already begun to heat things up with competition at the 2007 Internationals in East Bay, Florida. What an exciting couple of weeks racing in Florida proved to be. Brandon Martin Inc. took the 48’ hauler on a road trip to remind our fellow racers that the gray and neon orange 410 sprint is ready for another season of great racing. January 30th, February 1st, and February 3rd were three great nights to be able to do just that! 58 cars were signed in for racing action. The first night we qualified tenth, started fourth, and finished second in the heat, started ninth in the Feature Event and finished twentieth. The second night, Feb 1st, was a little depressing as there were problems with the right rear tire. BMI qualified fourteenth. We started third and finished fifth in the heat. The number 11m started fourteenth and finished in the ninth place position. After two nights of hard racing BMI was fourteenth in points with spots 1 thru 6 locked in. The third evening of racing competition, we started second and finished in the first place position in our heat. With a tenth place starting position in the Feature Event, we crossed the finish line in fifteenth. It was then time to move on to Volusia County Speedway February 6th, 7th, and 8th to try our luck there with 60 other contenders. The first night in Volusia brought us an eighteenth qualifying position putting us on the outside spot of row one finishing fifth, which took us to the Feature where we started fourteenth and ended fifteenth. The next evening didn’t go our way as we raced in the D-Main with no chance of going to the FeatureEvent which also carried into the next evening. The BMI Team qualified late, ran in the D-Main and made the heat race. However, as luck would have it we blew a left right tire. The night was over at that point as we weren’t able to make the repairs in enough time for the C-Main. As always, we are grateful to you for supporting our team and following us in all of our endeavors, whether it is on the track or off. The entire BMI Racing Team is excited about the upcoming season and look forward to another successful and exciting summer. We look forward to seeing all of our supporters, fans, and marketing partners this season. BMI Racing looks forward to 2007 |

by Arianne Hegeman Nestled inside the small town of Attica, Ohio is the site of BMI Racing’s race shop. Positioned many miles away from any major metropolis, the race shop is conveniently located just a mile from Attica Raceway and the “town square”. With just one visit to rural America, it is evident that Attica, Ohio is the kind of town where everyone knows everyone. So when local guy Brandon Martin finishes 6th in the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions during his rookie year, word spreads quickly. Members of the community will help celebrate the success at “Martinville Speedway”; otherwise known as the Martin backyard. The annual festivities typically consist of late night racing and some mangled go-karts. This year, the team has much to celebrate and much to look forward to. |
